Sunday Barbecue

Kenya, Keegan, and Gavin at the Ponderosa Park up Beaver Canyon. My family drove up there for a barbecue and a chance to enjoy the fresh mountain air. It was beautiful and the kids had a good time.

Minersville Lake

Keegan had fun driving the boat. He makes a good "Sea Captain"
Kenya made a better "flagger"

After riding on the boat for awhile the kids decided to go swimming. The water was pretty cold but was fine after your limbs got numb.
Keegan and Kenya loved the tube ride but I'm not so sure about Uncle Mike.

Keegan the "Stuntman"

Keegan and Kenya wanted to go on a tube ride with Uncle Mike. He was supposed to hang on to them but when they went over a wave Keegan took a nose dive. Way to go Uncle Mike. They still had a lot of fun. Keep your eye on the kid on the right.

Baby Brooklyn

Here is Brooklyn in her "Red, White, & Blue". She slept thru most of the parade, visiting with the cousins afterward, and the horse races. What a trooper.

24th of July

We went to Beaver for the 24th of July and watched the Parade with my family.
Keegan was all about getting as much candy as he could, as fast as he could. Kenya finally decided it was ok to venture out and get candy. For half of the parade she was scared of the loud noises and watched the floats from a safe distance - underneath the folding chairs.
Every year the fire truck brings up the rear of the parade and all the kids run out into the street to get "sprayed". Keegan wasn't to fond of it on the 4th but acted like he wanted to try it again for the 24th.
Here he is running back to the family after getting soaked. We couldn't keep him out of the water after that. Conrad said he wasn't going to get wet but I think deep down he's still a kid and couldn't resist.

Conrad decided to try his hand at photography. Kimberly didn't have anyone to take her Bridal Pictures so Conrad said he would. We decided it couldn't be any worse than no pictures at all, right? Turns out he did pretty good. Check them out.

Sunshine Therapy

Brooklyn is enjoying the beautiful "Sunshine". She is looking a little yellow so she's just chilling in the warmth of the sun. She will be 1 week old tomorrow. I can't hardly believe it. My 8 weeks off work will be over in no time. Brooklyn has already changed so much and is making huge improvements in her eating skills. Way to go Brooklyn

Hair removal before surgery

Sunday night I took an ambien so I could get a good night's sleep before surgery, probably the last good night's sleep I will get for quite sometime. Conrad thought he had some prep work to do before meeting his daughter for the first time. Everyone knows that first impressions are lasting impressions so naturally he wanted to look his best. While I was in a deep sleep he was trying to improve his outer appearance. First he decided to trim his earhair, nosehair, go-T and any extra hair he had on his face. That's when he realized that his eyebrows were a little on the bushy side. While carefully trimming a little hair off the top of one brow, he somehow managed to shave half of it off. He knew he couldn't leave it that way so he had to shave half of the other brow as well. Obviously that looked retarted so next he grabbed my eyebrow pencil and tried to fill them in. That did not look natural but allowed him to create any expression he wanted with the stroke of his hand. Finally he scubbed off the make-up and had no choice but to remove the rest of his eyebrows. The next morning he was a little embarassed of his new look and wanted to wear his hat around everywhere including in the operating room. After seeing Brooklyn, he realized she had his eyebrows, or lack thereof, and finally came to terms with his "NEW DO".
